Silicone Oil/Spray for a Treadmill

I recently purchased a cardiotech X9 Pro treadmill second hand, and the treadmill is great.

Works particularly well when walking, but my feet seem to cause the mat to stick to the base for a fraction of a second when running, feels really uncomfortable and the jarring of legs etc is a worry. Apparently, it needs some lubricant to ensure that doesn't happen.

Just wondering what specifically people have used on their treadmills with good results.

Thank you.

Hello, that's the one, look i'm no expert, but we have been using that for a couple of years.
Before you tension your belt, slack it off a lot and clean the platen and belt with an old T shirt or
something. Pull the belt round a little bit each time if it's dirty.
When you re-tension, do it evenly and then when you think it's correct, run the motor and watch how the belt travels and centre it. Might take two or three goes. And if it slips when running, try and
nip each side half a turn till youre satisfied.

    • Thank you so much. I actually think this will help out a lot. Do you apply quite a lot of spray?
