  • Any DLC included in the sale?

    • +1

Not sure, the news on the Switch just says Dead Cells will be available to purchase for 50% off.

      • I think it's 30% off at the moment with DLC.

        • Actually works out to be cheaper than when it hits 50% off too.

          $18.75 half price
          + paid DLC 1 = $26.25
          + paid DLC 2 = $33.75

Assuming the DLC doesn't also get discounted.

          • @Benbenbenben: Yeah I assume the DLC will go on sale as well.

            • @[Deactivated]: The 30% off one goes through till after the game trial anyhow so no loss from waiting to see if the DLC is also discounted, if not can just go the game and DLC bundle.

I've been really keen to try this game, I know its staple for most of these game trials (discount) but if I enjoy it , being able to snag it for significant discount is just icing on the cake.

  • Really wanted this game for $9.95 physical!

    • Great find.

    • I scored two copies for $9.95 and its the game of the year edition with one of the DLCs

That's really cool, thanks for letting us know!

    Price in title.

    • You should read the title properly first.

Ultimate Chicken Horse demo available between 25-30 January via Japan. Not sure if you need a VPN to play.

  • I finally worked out there is no connection to Play Dead. :)

  • Is it even worth buying this now that hades is out?

    • +1

      Yes.

      Both are great games.

You also need to play Celeste, Hollow Knight, Meatboy and Owlboy.

      • and dandara and the messenger.

      • Never heard of the Owlboy, but given the company it is mentioned with, buying now, thanks!

Both great games but also very different. Dead Cells is more platform (think running and jumping) while Hades is not. Hades has a bigger sense of progressions (retain more items/currency, upgrades between runs) than Dead Cells. I'm a big fan of both, and recommend both.

    • It's not for everyone. People rave about it but i didn't get into it on first play. Definitely different to hades

    • I tried playing Dead Cells and I found it too frustrating (especially at double jumps). Hades is sooo much better IMO.

I got it recently as a card, but I reckon I'll rebuy it. It's a game that you can burn out on quick, but you always want to keep dipping in. Much easier as a digital download.

Also 50% off at PS Store Au down to $15.47
or 35% off with ps plus on the bundle down to $29.21, seems pretty good deal, including rise of the giant, the bad seed and Fatal Falls DLC

50% pricing is live for the Switch now too.

If you've got none of the DLC, the bundle is the cheapest at $30.
