Do eBay Still Do $0 Final Value Fee Promotions?

Hey all,

Just wondering if anybody has had any luck getting eBay final value promotions since the ones in December. Last year after a few days of not having anything listed i'd get a promotion waving final value fees but so far I haven't gotten any promotions outside of waving listing fees. Also haven't seen anybody posting final value promotions on here so starting to wonder if they are done with it. Being able to sell without final value fees brought me back to selling on eBay but having to factor in that 10% is a bit rough so I might have to stick to gumtree, oh well.

    The $1 and $0 seller promotions stopped by the end of the year I think. ebay hasn't sent any of these in January.

      my promo history says:

      Make More On Your Next 5 Sales
      Pay no more than $1 on Final Value Fees on the next 5 items you list and sell Learn More - Make More On Your Next 5 Sales- opens in new window or tab

      I keep getting them. got 2 promos this year - both of them were sell for free next 2 listings.

      funny thing is, I use these promos, and ebay keeps sending me it

    i got many $0 and $1, usually for 5 items each time, probably once a month or once every 2 months.
    weird is sometimes i listed and the promo wont applied to them so i need to do chat with them and they do it in the background/put note on my listing.
    and yes it worked, when i sold $1200 brand new mobile phone i paid $1 to ebay (but paid around $25 to paypal -something like that) - felt happy

      Yeah, I had the same happen a couple times. They were usually pretty good about honoring it when something went wrong.

    Got a call yesterday from ebay trying to get me to shift over to 'managed payments'. Told em I had no interest in managed payments (eBay final value fees netted at time of transaction and the balance automatically paid out directly to your bank account) but ebay said it will very soon be mandatory. Considering how often the $0 and $1 FVF offers dont activate and you have to chase it up through ebay chat this will be more of a problem. Don't think I will bother with ebay when that comes in.

    Still getting 2 no FVF listings (from unfinished draft listings in selling)
    + the 2 no FVF imported listings from gumtree.

    Even on No final value fee's you still got shafted for the paypal fee. Fact.

    Happened to me and when i brought it up with both companies they told me thats how it is.

      super fricken necro so apologies but fyi eBay is finally changing this. I got an email from eBay telling me they're unifying the payments side of things.

    Be very careful with the Gumtree one. I've used it previously with good success, but I think they've changed it recently. Unsure of the previous wording but now it says Post to Ebay for Free. Nothing about final value fees and the T&C's link it provides does not work.

      Yeah I'm in a dispute over the gumtree listing (No FVF) at the moment.
      Ebay sucks !
