The permit says get tested within 72 hours and self isolate till theres a result, can be 1-5 days.
Possible to get tested before flight so I can get earlier result and the self isolation period in melb is shorter?
I give service victoria a call tomorrow anyway but just asking maybe some people are also interested.

You must get tested on arrival into Vic and wait until you have your results. The results are 12-24 hours on average in Vic at the moment so I wouldn’t be concerned.
If you did it before your flight, once you are tested you must stay home until you get your result, therefore you can’t fly if you don’t have your result.
