I need to find a way for clients to sign documents through my 2020 MacBook air or iPad 5th generation. Many of my clients do not have access to email so I need to do this with them face to face. Is there something I can buy to attach to my MacBook that could help with this? I see there is a mac pencil for iPads however they seem to only be for iPads 6th generation? Thank you :)

There is a lot of signing and manual scanning, upload involved. Time consuming and waste of paper/printing etc

On a Mac there’s a way to do a “digital signature”.
However I believe you first need to do it on paper then use the camera. Also on an iPad you use the markup function.
I directed you to a link that may help. Heaps of different articles online that helps
Good luck
edit: read it wrong
I use Documents - iOS, free to install the built in PDF reader allows you to write/draw on a PDF file (and saves it). You also don't need to pay $ to just do that. See if that works you.
You can draw on the trackpad with one of those conductive stylus.
Have them sign paper? Why digital?
