I feel so out of touch when I read the titles of some deals 😳

I don’t think these games are a great use of time and/or money

Source: myself, player of a Niantic game

With the amount of exercise this game has made some people do, I think it really depends on how the person chooses to perceive the game.

        • Good point. I play Wizards Unite and there’s generally no need to walk.

          • @WhyAmICommenting: Oh interesting. I've heard that game is AR based, but I don't know much else about it. If it doesn't involve GPS and a map of your location, that would be the reason why it wouldn't demand any movement :)

            • @Zackeroo: Its location based. It’s just that they nerfed the walking rewards ages ago, and then COVID happened so they had to change the game so you can pretty much play from home - they don’t want to be seen encouraging people to mix in a pandemic.

      • Which game(s) would you consider a great use of time and/or money?

        • -1

Personally, anything that’s a one time purchase and isn’t online focused. Makes it a lot easier to just play a bit and put it down.

I believe PoGo has a strong incentive to pay for events so the cost is ongoing, but can have some health benefits as noted above.

Not at all. Myself, and many others that I know haven't spent a single cent on the game yet we rule among other players HAHAH :)

            one time purchase

It's a free game, and earning in-game currency is VERY easy. To any PoGo players, simply through a Pokemon into a gym of your team each day and make sure you reach the maximum coin limit each day. This means you'll be able to earn 350 coins per week :)

            @WhyAmICommenting: I'm with @Zackeroo on this one.

I've been playing since day 1 and haven't spent anything on the game. The game is constantly changing slightly which is interesting.

One-off-purchase games (especially the cheaper ones) would rarely have the same kind of support and community driving the game to be developed.

So I'm still curious on particular games that are better.

  • Where do I get Pokecoin?

    • +3

You have to mine it like Bitcoin.

      /s

It's an in-game currency that you can obtain by either paying real money (AUD$1 = 100 Pokecoins) or obtain it by putting a Pokemon in a gym. You obtain about 1 Pokecoin per 8 minutes up to 50 per day (I don't know if the rates changed).

I highly recommend downloading Google opnion rewards, you do surveys for Google Play credit, I did one this morning, 5 questions for 55c credit
Going straight to my pokecoin bank
