Not the lowest all time price, but cheapest at moment . Xbox version also available.

Anyone had these for a few months or more and can confirm headphone hinge quality. My Steelseries one's are finally cracking at the swivel hinge on one of the cups. All these high end gaming headsets seem very flimsy, all plastic, and not a long term option.

  Owned Gen3s for near on 5 years now, only just starting to show signs of age with the ear padding separating. Sound quality is good but the only drawback is if you plan on using HDMI 2.1 with a console, the adapter won't support it and you will be limited to 4k/60hz or 1080p/120hz (mainly from a PS5 stand-point)

    My Gen 2's work with my PS5, I just use the optical port on my TV. My TX station is plugged into the PS5 via USB.

    Works exactly like it does on my PS4!

    How does a soundbar cost double price of console?
    How does surround sound system cost double the tv?
    Quality headsets cost money, and A50s are among the best. You can also use A50s for other things…

      It's about as basic as any other headset and has the same components as any other. A soundbar that costs twice as much usually has twice the stuff in it. What am i getting extra in this that a $100 system apart from some software tuning do you get?

        Plenty of other comments on here vouching for the high quality, durability and long life of the Astro set.
        If you want to save money the cheaper brands will likely be dead in a year or 2 due to cheaper components used, less quality control meaning more defects, or crappy design.
        I've had A50s since around PS4 launch and they are still as good today as they were then….

  Had these for almost 2 years as daily drivers, no signs of wear. The wireless range is fanbloodytastic. Great audio and adjustability with the software EQ that uploads your settings (multiple profiles) into the headset. Absolutely got what I paid for.
  My xbox version came with a 2 year microsoft store license for dolby atmos headphones (as the ps version didn’t have the free license) no difference in either set for pc and both have the optical for the previous gen consoles.

    Doesn't EB have a price match policy? Though I have read that YMMV and some say they will only price match if it's in the same building others might just do it.

    I've walked into a few EB's and I didn't see the Astro A50's on the shelf, they might just be behind the counter or at the back. However I did go to Broadway JB Hifi last week and they definitely have the Astro A50's for this price. Looking at the website for EB Games, Broadway says they have it in stock. So wouldn't you be able to buy it this way?

    Only thing I'm unsure of is if the free HDMI splitter is only available to purchases from JB Hifi only or if it extends to EB Games as well. The website that JB Hifi links to doesn't show anything or even mention JB Hifi. They just ask for a receipt.
