One Free $0 Puzzle Lesson in Maths, Logic, Science or Engineering Everyday @ Brilliant.org

90

I forgot when posting this deal on subscriptions the other day: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/598976
that there is a free Daily Challenge puzzle of the day feature everyone can use.

It looks like you can do the last week / last 7 puzzles and the oldest gets replaced each day. I think at 10pm AEDT.

  • OP. Do you know at what age groups this is suitable for?

well that's a little bit tricky i think because different people are well, different. for example some kids can be very precocious, particularly in narrow areas. and i am an idiot in my 30s so…

the official line for the entire website https://brilliant.org/ is

      For ages 10 to 110
Get started as a beginner with the fundamentals, or dive right into intermediate and advanced courses for professionals. Brilliant has courses for ambitious people of all ages.

and on the subscription side all the courses (which are the puzzle lessons aranged nicely) have a "View prerequisites and next steps" page where the most basic courses all say "No previous knowledge required!" but then follow that up with various things.

The biggest clue might be Mathematical Fundamentals

No previous knowledge required! This course is for anyone who remembers middle school math (basic algebra and fractions), and is ready for a refresher and new challenges on core mathematical concepts.

      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Middle_school
      if that's the US i think that's grade 6?

      Logic

No previous knowledge required! You don’t need any previous logic experience! This course is enjoyed by anyone excited about actively learning through riddles, puzzles, and thought experiments!

      Scientific Thinking

      No previous knowledge required!
There are no prerequisites for this course. We'll bring the rules, you bring the imagination.

      Computer Science Fundamentals

      No previous knowledge required!
You don’t need any previous computer science experience to take this course! This course is for anyone excited to actively learn more about how computer scientists think and understand our world.

But for these free puzzles, i'm afraid i'm just not sure. They don't seem to be the most basic puzzles on the site. I think they are meant to be a bit challenging, but I havn't been doing them long enough to know how much they alter in difficulty. I plan on getting into the habit of attempting them daily so i'll try to remember to come back later.
