Recently signed up to play indoor soccer and googled indoor soccer shoes and somehow ended up at this New Balance shoes page

Have already bought size 9 and 10, paid $50 ($20x2+$10 shipping)

Reviews are not good. Apparently they are small and narrow for size but still great value at this price

This is turf ground, not indoor hardcourt boot by the way

The rubber footprint of these shoes is adequate for indoor.

Trust me bro… Give me the ball and I will do the rest.

    • Indoor is fine with these.

      • +3

don't use turf shoes for indoor, they're not ideal, also the post shouldn't say indoor, because they're turf shoes, not indoor shoes

My friend accidentally bought these for futsal and he slides around in them, not really any better than a regular pair of sneakers. They're terrible for indoor soccer

For indoor courts get a real pair of futsal shoes. They're not expensive, this is just the wrong kind of sole. These are for turf.

For $240 I'd want shoes that fit my feet perfectly.
Give these to the reviewers for $20 with just the information like

These shoes have a performance fit. We recommend ordering a 1/2 size bigger than your typical NB size.

Chances are most of the bad reviews would disappear. Ordered a 9 although that's probably too small. Figure I can always give them to someone else.
2.1% cashback on clearance @ CR too!

  • Any recommendations for great grippy indoor shoes?

    • +1

Yes get Adidas. Any indoor Adidas one will do. Don't get this. It's bad. It's not the right size and they just can't do soccer stuff properly

These are much better than the ones listed, at $76, plus 20% off at the moment.

Joma Top flex's are pretty good too.
Munich Continentals are meant to be one of the most popular shoes amongst futsal pros, however far too bulky for my liking.
Adidas munidal goals are a classic shoe that I loved as well.

The problem I find with indoor is if the courts themselves aren't cleaned and you get a layer of dust on your shoes. Bye Bye grip:/ does any shoe fix this issue?

i bough these and they are rubbish
    worst spend $20 - don't do it

    • +1

      Agree. Not worth $1

      Thanks, I saved $30 today , hooray

    • +5

Indeed. They've been trying to get rid of them for 3 years now, and they could not. $240 my ass.

seems standard markup on sports shoes.. walked past an Athletes Foot store one week the shoe is 200+ next week on discount table for 75 …. not bad considering they probably cost 12 cents out of some sweatshop

To be fair, it's really very difficult to set up and run a business, and even more so to make it last and be successful.

However, those RRPs are truly nonsense, and for these shoes in particular. Kmart offers better quality sneakers than these indoor football shoes. New Balance has some great runners, but these shoes are a terrible fit, offer no arch support, and no ball feel. Absolute garbage, and I know since I've tried them on more than once. They keep offering them in their physical outlets, clearly with little success. To make it worse, I did buy a few of their high end FG boots (Futon) and they all hurt my foot. That's how bad they are. In contrast, wearing Adidas, Nike or Puma had an almost healing effect. For comfort, I found Nike "academy" grade to be by far the best value, with Adidas in their .2 range not far behind, but I usually wear one of their top boots in matches, fur ball feel.

That's my more than 2 cents worth.
