Bought a Product under Dell Student Program Purchase, Now Discounted Further

Hi,

I recently purchased a product from Dell under the SPP (Student Purchase Program) which takes 20% off your purchase. I purchased 10 days ago and I went on their website a couple of days ago and seen that the product is discounted to 25% off now.

I have contacted Dell as they state about price guarantee and to my surprise they have said that due to my purchase being on SPP it does not stack on top of their current discount. I understand that the SPP does not stack but shouldn't Dell stick with their price guarantee of if within 30 days price changes they will refund the difference.

I'm wondering if anyone has had experience regarding this with Dell or anyone else and were able to get compensated for the difference?

  • They will not compensate the difference, dell never do.

    Buy another and return.

    • Nah I'm pretty certain a 15% restocking fee applies so that's not worth it.

Does the price guarantee apply to SPP? Normally these 'special' pricing deals have different terms etc.

    You're talking 5% diff, so on a $2000 purchase, its $100. On a $1000 purchase its $50.

Don't waste your time, move on.
