Lenovo E Series - No More AMD?

I bought an E15 Gen 2 (AMD) middle of last year and was positively surprised by its performance, so was looking to get another (E14) for a family member.
To my surprise, I found Lenovo has discontinued AMD on the E series.

Does anyone know the reason for the change back to Intel?
Or if they will be bringing back AMD for the E series?

  • 7nm shortages. Substrate shortages.

TSMC produces all of AMD's chips on the 7nm process and they are all shared by Ryzen 3000 (desktop), 4000 (mobile) 5000 (mobile + desktop) and Navi GPUs.

Then there's 7nm AMD chips that go into the PlayStation5 and Xbox Series X.

Had a quick look on Lenovo's site and tick the "AMD" checkbox, looks like the only laptops that have Ryzen 4000 chips are the more expensive T, X, P and IdeaPad Gaming 3 series.
