      Marketing. A lot of competing brands work equally well in cold water. Cold Power's brand just focusses completely on the cold washing aspect since it's part of their name anyway.

      Marketing - though I get the feeling a long time ago there possibly was a difference. Probably back in the days when we had separate front and top loader washing detergent too :)
