Best PS5 Gaming Monitor Budget $2k

Hi all,

My friend and I are i are in the market for the best performing monitor for the ps5.

Our budgets are up to $2k

We have looked at a few models but can’t seem to work out which is best.

Would love some feedback based on personal experiences rather than spec findings.

    LG are apparently releasing a 42" OLED this year. They currently have a 48" OLED that retails for $2,700 so the new smaller size might possibly meet your budget.

    The LG OLED's are rated #1 for console gaming and picture quality for TV viewing.

    PS5 isn't really designed for monitors. You have the budget for a decent 4KTV with HDR, that's the ideal option.

      Exactly even if they were why would you waste money on a dedicated monitor?

      Either have a monitor for the PC and or have a TV which can do all the rest.

        Desk setup with keyboard and mouse is the reason for it all

        PS5 Lack's support for many standard monitor features like 144hz/160hz/240hz, 1440p and Ultrawide

          Indeed, plus no direct audio out but relying on HDMI whereas most monitors don't have speakers or audio pass-through.

          Also many 144Hz monitors are unable to support 4K120 over HDMI but only via DisplayPort which PS5 doesn't have.

    So any recommendations on something other than a tv ?

    Happy for anything up to 32”

      You'll basically want one that support 4K 120Hz HDR with HDMI 2.1 for the optimal experience. There aren't many on the market at the moment.

              @shaned: Nope. You don't go Alienware if you want the best performing kit. They're for show and posterity only.
