        For example, on ebay the buyer can not directly claim a refund from their bank saying a fraudulent transaction has been done. They have to go through ebay dispute system where the seller gets the chance to provide evidence.

          Actually they can. If you're claiming fraudulent, you can easily ring up your bank and ask for a reversal/chargeback as the transaction was fraudulent. Just say goodbye to your Paypal account if it was through that.

          eBay is notorious for sellers getting screwed - hardly a good example if you're wanting to avoid scams.

    I'd trust the OzBargain classifieds before Scumtree, Fleabay and FB.

  I have used https://voucha.com.au/ before. Reasonable rates, similar to what you'd get on ebay.

      You sell to them. Once they have the card details and it is verified they deposit the money into your chosen account. Then your part is all done. They then list it on their website and wait for someone to buy it.

  The Australian government calls up requesting gift cards all the time to repay tax debts. That's where I spend my cards.

  I never knew how many Indians the aussie government hires.
