  • Had a look through but nothing standout for me. Hasslegrove Catkin at 191 with 8,000 points seems alright.

Pay at least $40 for a bottle for something that probably cost them $7 and then waste points on top of it. No thanks

    Why is this a bargain?

Worth bearing in mind that some of these wines are frequently sold cheaply on discount wine websites like Vinomofo, Wine Selectors etc so you're paying a premium for the addition of points. OP's Thompson Estate Cab Sav 2018 for example, can be purchased for $255 / dozen at Wine Selectors here. Therefore, you're paying $225 for 20k Qantas Points.

    • wine selectors link is to four chambers cab sav 2018 which is a diff product in this instance? but agree Qantas pricing would have to be in at least a similar ballpark to make a QFF points offer attractive…

  • I was about 25K points short for next year Qantas Point Club, would have taken this offer if available, but applied for credit card instead.

Anyway I am no wine snob, couldn't tell the difference between a Malbec and red-wine vinegar.

This seems like decent value to me, if you enjoy high end reds.

Not when that Richardson was available from Vinomofo for next to nothing, ditto that Curtis from Uncle Dan's as an under wrapped wine.

      • True

  • I'm surprised we haven't seen deals on those small bottles you usually get in a plane.

I would have thought there would be an excess of those.. unless they are all being nicely cellared for future use
