EB Games have my all time favourite game on sale for the collectors edition.

Not a bad deal as it was in its $300 when it came out.

Yes I know it’s still a lot of coin for plastic extras but there are also a lot of people out there that love this stuff.

        Abby had some nuance, did one bad thing and a whole lot of good things.

        I hated playing as Ellie after playing Abbie's arc. Tbh, I was team Abby after playing her for about 10 minutes.

    Not worth paying $199 if you just wanted the poor quality statue.

    Could have just bought the 1/6 figure of Ellie which is a much better figure but it'll cost a bit more, around $230AUD with today's conversion

    At $300 it was way cheaper than Cyberjunk 2077 collectors edition, at $199 is even better.

    Other collectors editions available on sale are:

      I will say that the statue is pretty high quality. If you're into collectors editions I think it's a pretty good deal at $249
      The game is a mess but it's still pretty fun if you can stomach the bugs

    An unforgettable experience… but also a manipulative, ideological driven mess which veils verisimilitude through shock value and attempted subversions of genre/video game tropes.

    It’s still a solid game overall when factoring in gameplay, animation, acting, sound design, art direction etc., but as an experience where story and character are at the forefront; it falls short considerably of its ‘masterpiece’ adoration.

      I thought the story was amazing. It was an emotional roller coaster but that’s just my opinion and I’m sure there is a lot that agree and disagree with me

      On that note tho I just picked up my collectors edition from eb games. Managed to get one still in its shopping box too. Yes it’s still $200 but to me it’s fantastic!

        You only have to watch the first 45 mins but certainly the rest of vid. is interesting in how they attempt to create a story answering some of the issues raised.

        The Dina back story he creates, for example, was I thought incredible.

        I don't get why people who like Part 2 a lot think people dislike it because of the SJW bits. A lot of people who dislike the game are huge fans of Part 1.

          People will often misconstrue actual faults with how the narrative is conveyed and the haphazard pacing as 'you hate SJW/alphabet adjacent stories', which is only maybe 5-10% of the Fans really.
          Personally, I think the game had great moments, but it is a mess and really needed to be 2 games, not 1. To flesh out, have correct pacing have better build up.

          You can't really make decisions on existing character traits that have not been altered to the player/reader/viewer from existing material to the new material, and just infer that situation a was created from unseen development. That's how you just alienate a person who is versed in, and invested in the characters.
          That is a legit gripe that is logically sound reason to dislike certain decisions, but of course, not enough to merit some of the extremist expressions.

    Fantastic game, but I'm not sure all that special edition crap is worth $199 when the standard game has been on sale a couple of times for less than $30. I guess its appeal may also depend on how much spare space you've got in your house for that kind of thing.

      Completely agree, but also this happens every single time a high profile AAA game comes out with expensive collectors edition. I worked at EB games when Far Cry 3 came out and it took over a year for us to get rid of the collectors items, even when they were at like 80% off.

        Yeah, I remember back in the day I ended up buying the collector's edition of Assassin's Creed 2 (with the big Ezio statue) because Harvey Norman were clearing it out for some ridiculously low price. I can't remember exactly how much, but it was significantly less than the standalone. I had no use for the statue at all, but I had a workmate who liked that kind of stuff so I went and picked up the game at lunchtime, went back to the office and took the game out of the box and gave the rest of it to her. Win win!

          Uncharted 4 was directed and written by him.
          The last of us franchise was created by him and he directed and wrote part I and II.

    I am one of the people who preordered this.

    Warning - Ellie is huge. I have statues from various games. I used to think "Elise the Fiery Templar," who I got on clearance at some point, was big. But Ellie dwarfs her.

    Poor female Commander Shepard feels very small now.

    So if you don't want a huge Ellie - pass.

    If this came with a console id jump and sell the figure and cut the game in half because it's something that would sell as well as a homeless man's shoes, don't get me wrong there it does happen someone wanting to buy their shoes to get into a place but I digress
