good price! i mean, if you like the clear blue color

    • The problem for me with this is the negative display. Bit harder to read and more aimed at the fashion. If it had a normal display I'd honestly be fine with it.

  • G-Shock was my dream watch when I was a kid
Now (20 years later) it looks like a toy to me LOL

    • Check out the Rangeman, Mudman or Frogman line. They look like less of a "toy".

Yea, those product lines looks way better than this

True - But they do have some sleek models.

I purchased a GW-M5610-1BER for intl travel and holidaying and ever since buying it, I've found it so comfortable and useful that I have wanted to upgrade it to the GMWB5000D-1D.

My poor ol' IWC pilot chronograph is like Woody from Toy Story, once loved and now chilling in the box.

Honestly I go between my CA-53 for the slim/light factor and my Datejust, 90 percent of time it sits on the winder. I know the feels. Haha

That's because the only G-Shocks or Casio watches featured on OzBargain regularly (and those that most physical watch retailers still stock) are all of the most pedestrian, budget G-Shocks that invariably have the most garish, chunky, retro-looking and juvenile aesthetics; which is what still gives people this impression that Casio can't make anything other than the "Bill Gates special", the nerdy-looking calculator wrist watch that looks as if it's lifted from a 1980s Hollywood concept sketch of spy technology.

Casio make literally thousands of watches across many differing ranges with widely differing target audiences, going all the way from the F91W which usually costs as much as a Happy Meal to the $10,000 dollar MRG-B2000SH.

If you just scroll through their line-up you'll see there's plenty there for adults too. Not to mention Casio's Edifice line, which has plenty of traditional dress watches and hybrid Edifice/G-Shock fusion watches too.

    • Large range. This one is just pretty garish. There's a large range of more "mature" looking watches. I'm using a g-steel gst-b200 and honestly it looks pretty amazing as well as being very feature rich. Certainly the feature set and practicality is far above that of many other watches.

G-shock does have the downside of making me self conscious of my tiny wrist size though.

You really can't beat the G-Shocks. They are indestructible and come in so many great styles.

Don't forget you can get this G-Shock Classic with a positive display in a solar version for a little bit more on eBay.
