FYI:

Carl's Jr is not a burger clone, timeline: 1940 McDonald's, 1941 Carl’s Jr. then way later, 1953 Burger King (our HJ’s).
Carl's Jr burgers are 'chargrilled', unlike HJ's 'flamegrilled'.
The burgers are BETTER at Carl's. Try the Angus burger range and taste for yourself.

    Fries is somewhere between Maccas and burger king. Btw, KFC at Auckland airport happens to be the best KFC I've ever eaten.

          @fchis: Pretty big assumption they don’t reuse them if it's not too dirty looking.

          Also, the burger wrapper and chip packaging was touched by the same person who is touching the register and money from countless customers (compared to the food inside these which are in theory at least prepared hygienic).

          Those packaging have now touched the place mat and then your chips have now touched the same place mat. So you might as well lick the fingers off every person who paid cash before you.

          Think of germs as a transitive relation. Not just what’s touched it - but what else has touched the item that is now touching it.

          Customer wipes nose with hand -> customer takes money out of wallet with same hand -> customer passes money to register staff -> register staff takes money in their hand -> register staff picks up wrapped burger with same hand -> register staff places wrapped burger on place mat -> you place chips on the same spot on the place mat as the contaminated burger wrapper was placed -> you eat chips with snot particles on them from the customer's hand.

          You can easily replace snot particles with shit particles, if the customer just wiped their ass and didn't wash their hands.

  Wish their Wetherill Park store would hurry up and open. It is interesting they will have so few stores in NSW, even SA should have more by the end of the year.

  For those who have not claimed an offer before, make sure you don't click on Redeem until the person at the store asks you to. Do it in plain sight front of them. The instruction on the app is not very clear on this, only says "Be sure to input the code when asked".

  I redeemed the offer previously thinking it would give me a QR code or Barcode to redeem in store. When I showed the offer upon picking up the order, the manager there was accusing me of redeeming the offer at various Carl's Jr outlets before going to his. Was an unpleasant experience having to explain to him that the instructions were not clear therefore I did what was most intuitive, before he said "I'll let you have it this time. Next time don't do this," in a strict and rude way. He then proceeded to remind all his staff around him that customers have to redeem it in front of them.

  Come on dude, Carl's Jr is good, but not THAT good that I'll be driving around different outlets collecting slightly discounted burgers. LOL. The outlets are not that close to each other, so petrol would've cost more than their discount.

      I reckon the app can be improved. As others have noted before, even after signing in, the option to Sign Up is still there. Poor UX. All they needed to do was add a line that states "Press Redeem during order when requested by staff".

        Another case of really poorly thought of UI/UX design which is the new major bane of our society because every inexperienced or thoughtless UI/UX designer are just trying to cut corners or unable to reach that level of thinking for the actual user.

        Not an easy job because if you don't get it perfectly right you get issues like this and I bet the sloppy service was not even their fault but someone else up the line who did not include this little extra issue in the proper reports and documents that was sent to the designer.

        Incompetency and lack of care screws everyone but we can't live in a perfect world 24/7/365 a year so this will keep on happening until the end of time unless someone creates a system to either regulate it or penalise wrongdoers and hopeless cases accordingly.

    I highly doubt a place like this has charcoal or a wood fire going, but happy to be proven wrong.
    edit: I'm now thinking its simply a "translation" from charbroil to chargrill shrug and still involves a gas fire over grill grates
