No min spend =/= Small fee applies for orders under $15.

That’s different from delivery fee.. all orders under $15 have a $3 Doordash small fee (not sure why)

        That’s different from delivery fee..

If the fee does not apply when you pick it up yourself, then it is a delivery fee…

The delivery fee and small order fee (under $15 spend) are seperate in checkout. My post clearly outlines free delivery and I’ve added the small order fee in the title.

          Hope this clarifies any misunderstandings

@skido: Okay I got your point that the small fee is separate to the delivery. However, I still think if there is a conditional difference between <15 and >=15, then “no min spend” is not true. But thanks for posting the deal :)

            • @TwentyTwoCarats: I don’t think it warrants a neg though.

Anyway, new users can get $15 off $20 spend + free delivery via referral. Is that better for you?

            • +3

@TwentyTwoCarats: Thats fine if you dont agree with it, but its not a reason to neg the deal. Complain to doordash not the OP, OP is just posting the deal with the t&cs

              • @SuBw00FeR: I was confused, because I thought negs reflected the deal itself, not ozbargain posts themselves. I checked the voting guidelines, and I think that's correct. Negs are "to let others know about issues with the deal, merchant or product." If voters have an issue with the merchant, then I think it's legit to neg?

            @skido:

The delivery fee and small order fee (under $15 spend) are seperate in checkout

Does the “small order fee” only apply to deliveries?

            • @jv: Nope. It's been there since they started in VIC. Anything under $15 attracts the fee. I assume its to make people spend more than $15 each order. They did remove it (and said so) when they did some 1c burger thing.

No a delivery fee is a fee for delivery. Small fee is a fee for small orders.

          • @Chchnu: So if I order for pickup, they’ll charge small order fee?

  • Sweet finally vic gets some lockdown deals :(

Waiting for a cheap deal on masks and hand sanitiser…

Just an FYI - it seems they're only able to provide free delivery by getting their delivery drivers to pickup and deliver multiple orders from different restaurants in one go.

Placed an order from a restaurant not even 10 minutes from my place, took almost an hour to get to mine because of the driver going completely out of the way to pick up and deliver other orders. Icing on the cake (or the lack there of) was that he had forgotten to pickup half my order in his rush, so ended up with half the food I ordered.

Others might have had a better experience - but I'll be sticking with the other apps unless you're willing to take the risk of cold, stale food or worse not receiving your food at all.

Just a reminder that uber eats is running free deliver until 1 march for most users. No minimum spend.

    • How?

  • Free delivery with $10 minimum spend on Deliveroo as well.

  • Small fees applied to orders making it more expensive than before.
