            @Ulysses31: Precisely. I don't think I'm a grammar nazi but I've developed three pet peeves that irritate the (profanity) out of me lol.

            1. Would of, could of, should of - like wtf, how is this so common
            2. Boarder (close the boarders!!!)
            3. Defiantly (this one's hard I guess, relatively speaking)

    My goodness, that description is cringeworthy. And the consistent misspelling of “practise” doesn’t inspire confidence.

      I think that confirms that this is an American English grammar book. They don't use 'practise' in America. Both the noun and verb forms are spelt with a 'c'.

      The book's basically useless in Australia. Nothing worse than having to unlearn something you learnt incorrectly.
