Buying Home in Minta Berwick

Hi guys,
I regularly read ozbargain forums and find them helpful.
I would like your opinion on buying land and building a house in Minta Berwick.

Also can anyone recommend a good builder that is not going to charge a leg and a kidney.

Depends what or how big a house you wish to construct. Can recommend you a builder that is reasoable but I believe they only build single storey homes.

If being near 'good' schools and having decent capital growth on the property are not your concerns then go for it…plenty of land available around that area…

As someone who moved away from Berwick (parents live there) - make sure the commute isn't going to kill you. That Monash freeway is only getting worse and worse with all the development happening out in Pakenham etc and the road widening + lack of infrastructure.
