Australia is called "treasure island" by worldwide distributors, because we pay way more than anyone else for stuff. Despite our low population it is an easy way to make a quick buck.

I could be wrong but pretty sure Nuveem blocked other countries, I think they did it on purpose, as they usually sell games for regions were finance is lower (brazil or russia?). But as you can imagine other countries started buying up keys, so they had to block it.
In saying that, if you're trying to buy through a VPN, then you're less worried about a site block and whether steam has blocked the key based on location. I remember you used to be able to check if they exist, but I don't remember now. I think it was somewhere on https://steamdb.info/app/1066890/subs/

Historical Low on Steam for AMS2 is A$28.47, which is $3 more than the current offer on Nuuvem. Probably best just to wait it out for the next Steam sale, Steam store purchases also entitle you to Steam points and refund eligibility :)
I used the US as a location via VPN. Given the key was ok for AU I thought I'd give it a go - worked fine with no issues. I've heard of accounts getting blocked (I did it on my main account), which makes me wonder, how does it work if legitimately travelling?

the other interesting this I had 2 other games on my account for Nuuvem, I definately wouldnt have used a VPN back then, so maybe region blocking is a recent thing? (assuming I didnt buy 10 years ago!)
Nuuvem does not region block - I think it is game specific or random.
I have bought games from them before (on a few occasions) and never used a VPN.

The website doesn't allow purchases from Australia. Will have to find somewhere else or jump through VPN hoops.
