        Technically you still don't own the movie if you purchase a physical copy.
        You purchase the "license" to watch the film and there are still restrictions to his license, eg. can't playback disc in a public place etc.

        Certainly a very good movie, and while I had no problem with it winning the best picture Oscar, I thought it wasn't the strongest field that year. Not that there weren't some good movies in there (I really enjoyed Vice and BlackKlansman, in particular), but there wasn't really a standout among them. Also some bizarre nominations like Black Panther, which wasn't even the best Marvel movie that year, let alone best picture. If it had been a year later and up against the 2020 best picture field (Parasite, Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, Joker, Ford v Ferrari etc), I think Green Book would have had a tougher time of it.

      I buy for big budget movies that I think I will watch again and again. Disney's recent animations are an example.

      This movie, althought quite good, I'm probably not going to rewatch.

    Very good movie but not quite up to the movie it styled itself on (sort of). If you haven't seen it do yourself a favour and buy/watch "The Intouchables."
