    We used to dry pale them, throwing away the liner, once the pale/bucket was full, wash as directed.

    And nope they don't really smell in the bucket, nor do they come out smelling anything like wee or poo.

    As an obargainer the economic value alone (8-10 @ approx $220 = 8 boxes of huggies = 3 or 4 months from memory), is a no brainier, but also great environmentally.

    We have had three kids in cloth nappies. Two still in nappies. We normally do the liners hot washed 60 plus on an hour cycle. Then chuck the covers and all kids clothes in for longer cycle on 40.

    Got to get the right detergent. Omo ultimate and nappy san seem to work the best for us.

    Nappies never smell. Everything washes clean. If they do it's something in your washing routine causing it which is easily changed.

    Use a bunch more water and power. Dryer factored in too. But no nappies in landfill or stinking up your bins

  What a great alternative to disposable nappies.
  I've read that 2 billion disposable nappies go into landfill in Australia every year, 4% of our landfill is comprised of disposable nappies and they can take up to 500 years to decompose (plastic components). What an environmental disaster that is.
  The website babybehinds.com.au estimates that disposable nappies will cost $3,250 per child, so choosing reusable nappies is one of the great Ozbargain choices you can make.
  All our 4 kids were in cloth nappies. We even used them when bush camping around Oz with our first two.
  Years ago 100% of families used cloth nappies. Now only 5% do.
  Reusable nappies are a big financial win for families and a big win for the environment.
  When my kids have children, I'm buying them a pack of reusable nappies like these.
