Anyone Tried Kogan Washing Machine?

Hey everyone.

I know how most people here feel about Kogan, but my experience with them has always been good. I'm in desperate need of a washing machine and can't find much on Facebook marketplace. I noticed there are a few on Kogan that include free shipping so I'm thinking about giving them a try but wanted to know if anyone here has bought one and what their experience with it has been like.

    Personally, I wouldn't.

What do you want… New/Used, Top Load/Front Load, Warranty, Price.

    • I want one that's gonna last a couple of years, whether it's new or used. My issue with getting a used one is that it will come with no warranty at all. At least with a Kogan one, it will (in theory) come with a warranty.

If you are ok to gamble with no warranty, go for it.

      Kogan has warranty……..

      • Yes, it does - but try getting them to honour it. These forums are filled with messages about how hard they make it to claim warranty.

I use Kogan a lot; but never for electronics and things were warranty is important to me.

        • Warranty for Kogan white goods is managed by a third party company.

Dont even think about it. Bosch or LG only for longetivity unless you’re one of those people who doesn’t have a comprehensive car insurance when you have a car (incl. the person who negged me 😂)

    My Bosch is 10-year-stronk.

On gumtree there are plenty who buy/sell whitegoods including maching machine.

Also check these if you want 2nd hand:

    • My previous one was a used Bosch. I had only had it for a few weeks before it started having problems. That's my worry with buying a used one, I don't know if the previous owners have taken care of it. I had a look on Gumtree and there were a few on there. Thanks for the other two links, I didn't know about them.

  • Buy it on a credit card with additional year of extended warranty.

Kogan just slaps their own brand on it and I suspect most machines would come out of the same MIC factory at budget end. Their washer dryer combo looks the same as a Seiki which sells for almost twice the price (with 2 year warranty)

  • I owned a Kogan washing machine for about a year and never had any problems. Only sold it because I moved in with gf who already had a washing machine.

    Would buy again.

Kogan washing machines are just the cheap Chinese ones, same as the Stirling that Aldi sell, also the same as the brand called Inalto that Bing Lee sell.
