  • Is there a cap on cash back amount?

    • There wasn’t any mention about a cap in the email. Best to check the shopback page when it starts.

5% or 15% is way too unclear

Just a suggestion to fellow Ozbargainers, based my own personal experience - try to make separate purchases, rather than putting in one single order (tricky if you want to take advantage of free shipping). Reason: more often than. Or they will come back advising certain item is out of stock which means your order would have been modified/cancelled and thus invalidate the whole transaction for cash back purpose. I have a mmm mmm even worse experience when I requested for a replacement for an item broken on arrival. The item was replaced with no hassle but the cash back was rejected by Myer (now under appeal for more than. 4 weeks). This may happen with other sellers but to me, Myer is particularly bad in view of their inferior stick tracking system. Any way, good luck to you all

Too hard for me, I'm out.

Had similar experience, tried to buy BES920 on boxing day with shopback 20% and because I didn't answer my phone (was enjoying the beach!) Myer cancelled my order and wouldn't reinstate it after I finally got through to someone in customer support after the cashback period had ended. Their reasoning was "we sometimes check on expensive transactions to make sure it's what you intended to order". Neg to Myer and ShopBack.

  • 40% off manchester this weekend.

    Will it stack?

  • Include Apple?

  • +2

So there’s two tiers… ‘general’ and ‘other’. Could that possibly be more vague?

  • +2

This is a pretty crap promo in terms of distinguishing what’s included in what tiers of cashback received. Add this to recent tracking issues, reckon it’s easier to skip this flash promo entirely.

I'm negging this deal on the basis of lack of transparency - the offer page doesn't make it clear which categories are eligible for 15% off. I've seen this with a number of other SB deals, and also notice that often their promo links tend to route users straight through to the merchant without passing through a landing page which clearly sets out the exact cashback earn. Happy to withdraw my neg if someone can point me to where the qualifying cashback tiers are published.

      Same, stupid terms ….

    • Yep, definately not clear as the cashback offer contradicts the ineligible cashback categories. 5% off entertainment and 15% off everything else and yet all these are on the exclusion list…

      • kitchen household & personal care appliances, electronics, heating & cooling, TVs, eReaders, laptops, audio, headphones & speakers, tech, phones, cameras, smart watches, smart home products, mattresses, frames, kids and baby).
      • I was about to buy an air fryer from Myers because I saw the increased cashback, until i checked here!

    • +2

Agree, the clarity on this flashback is flashingly dismal :(

  • +3

Also have you read what items are not included in cashback ? Wondering what is left. I'll neg too.

    • Seriously, almost everything is excluded.

  • +3

I hope cashrewards match, I find them more reliable

  • If I want a Seiko watch, which cashback % does it net?

  • Bought oakley sunglasses.

    Tracked correctly at 15%

  • Where does toys come (Lego) .. kids or baby or 5% or 15%

    • Lego gets full 15% in my interpretation and someone took out what I wanted already :( .
Anyway safer using Woolies Deal on Myer 10% off giftcards and instant .

  • +3

Bought 3 x mattresses 10 months ago, ShopBack or Myers refused the 15% cash back…

I no longer use ShopBack, just Cashrewards now.

    Bad and unclear terms. Gross.

It is a bait. Have to neg…

  • Bought MJ bale pants.
$300 in store at MJ bale.
$200 Myers. $170 with cash back. Winning

  • Sorry, you are unlikely to get your cash back for this, better off get the 9% off giftcard, something you are sure you can get

  • CR is better.

  • +1

Typical Shopback didn't register when I made the purchase. I bet I will need to chase these crooks again.

  • My cashback registered but not at the correct rate 🤦
