Does anyone know of any sales/clearances that are currently being promoted for car audio gear? I am looking for a 4 channel amp (or 5 channel if cheap). I would ideally want an Alpine or JBL amp.
Thanks.

No more than 85w RMS (2 Ohms or 4 Ohms is ok) x 4 channels to power JBL split components (front and rear). And if possible, a 5th channel to power a 12" SONY sub, say no more than 150W RMS @ 4 Ohms.
Budget under $280. A JBL GTO1004 would be good…And happy to pay a bit more for a GTO5355…
I've been to Frankies Car Audio (to look at FUSION amps), RYDA and ebay so far…holding out for that 'special deal'…
JB HiFi have 30% off car audio at the moment although if you note http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/60542 you may find the prices have been inflated prior to the 'sale'.
5 channel amps are bloody expensive I've found, to power the system I put together not too long ago I used two Pioneer GM3500T and used one to power my sub and one to power my front splits (I didn't see the point adding 6x9's to my 'already raped by the previous owner to fit some piece of shit speakers' parcel shelf…
Last time JB had 30% off those amps they worked out to about $68 each which is pretty bonza (high resale value and flexibility).
Apline? They are right up there with Sorny, Panafonics, and Magnetbox.
Sorry, couldn't resist.
Jesus, a fake of an already shitty brand, and I'm not talking about Magnavox leeeeel!
ended up going to JB hi fi to buy an alpine 4 x 60w RMS amp…$244.30 after the 'fake' 30% was applied…gosh, if i had another choice, i would go elsewhere and not to JB….JB used to be my fav store, especially the original Keilor East store (before they floated), now, they lack customer servioe and don't give u a deal…the sales person was even reluctant to get me the amp off the shelf high above until i said "i'll buy it"!!!
Anyway, very happy with the alpine amp, the birth certificate says 98W RMS per channel tested instead of the 60W RMS as stated…
Power & Budget?
