Hi folks, was just in the middle of posting these 2 deals when the Dell deal landed. Think our i7 variant compares favourably in important areas - CPU cooling (ours has 120mm liquid cooling included), the Gigabyte 650W Bronze PSU and a higher airflow case - discussion can be had around theirs including activated Windows 10 but the OzB community knows alternatives there, and they've done well to include the 1TB NVME SSD no doubt. Obviously our i5 deal represents the same unbeatable value as the previous AMD deal posted by TA deal (expired and AMD variant not likely to return soon).

  • Intel Core i5 10400F 6c/12t processor
  • Deepcool Gamma Archer 120mm fan cooler - plenty of these are on hand but if/when these go out of stock an upgrade to a 120mm liquid cooler will be required as the stock Intel cooler will not handle the load the 3070 puts on it - we've tested it. The i5-10600KF CPU upgrade is available but will require the 120mm cooler upgrade to ensure optimal thermals.

        I totally understand it's a good deal and that aspect of it, but what bugs me is a few things. I ordered this on the 24th for my son as a new Uni student, and keep in mind that unlike most people on here in the know, I was oblivious to the shortage of components.Also I have never in my 52 years taken money off a customer without having the stock on hand to fulfil my services promised. Lastly there has been no courtesy on behalf of techfast to at least provide some regular updates on here, that I can see.

    Came today…

    -one of the legs has fallen off so now the case only has three
    -the ram was lying on top of the gpu when I opened the case to remove the packaging
    -the gpu has come out of the pcie slot and was dangling by the two screws
    -the pcie slot was shaved/scraped by the gpu coming out and the red shred were everywhere
    -the pcie has a lock that locks the gpu in place, this has broken off and fallen into the compartment with all the cables and psu
    -the usb cable (the one with the blue header) has fallen and the pins on the motherboard has been bent

    was excited to come home to the new pc :<

      did the inside of the PC have any packing or supporting material to support the gpu and other components or was it empty?

        it has those plastic air bags, but i'm thinking they've got too much give, something like that foam from a gpu box would be better since it gives it more rigidity

      Sounds like your computer was dropped HARD during transit.

      What happens in this situation? I wouldn't be comfortable with keeping the computer tbh…

      Definitely heavily damaged in transit, and is very painful to read of this. Fully covered under warranty so if you haven't already please reach out to [email protected] with DOA Damage as the Subject and it will be prioritised for you. For anyone reading each system is tightly packed with protective packaging but nothing can prevent negligent handling such as had to be the case here.

    Got mine.
    Packaging and inserts were good for me (sorry Ricky)
    Build quality and management seems good, unboxing experience was great. Even wife got involved.

    Plugged in, seem to have two boot issues regarding network boot and DHCP connecting… Found work-arounds but nothing solid yet. Seems to slow down the whole boot process. Whilst trying to find a remote boot?

    Otherwise I seem pretty happy, would be worried for someone who gets this and received the same problem with little to no bios/troubleshoot experience.

    Got a MSI 2 fan 3070

      Please reach out to [email protected] if you're still having issues, it should boot normally straight away so there will be a BIOS setting somewhere to be resolved.

        I believe I am experiencing the same issue as Fooah, do not have as much experience in the BIOS so I sent an email to support. Just thought I'd let you know in case you have a quick solution.

        I also detailed another issue I am having addressing the RGB on the Allied AIO 120 mm cooler and included fan cooler.

        There are only 2 orders left from 27th, both in testing as well so I will ensure they go out too. Both of those have had the same MB upgrade as both were delayed due to Z490 WiFi being unavailable.

      @Peter I can match your username to your order and can see your build is completed. The hold us was due to Z490 WiFi mobos being unavailable due to the generational manufacturing changeover to 5-series motherboards - they came in earlier this week so you have been upgraded free of charge to the Z590 WiFi. I'll make sure it ships today for you. MB (UD AC) and GPU (Gaming OC) both from Giga. Thanks for your patience - the Customer Service guys probably don't have quite the level of insight around that particular stock situation and I hadn't been asked about it by them.
