      Got it from Michaels for $2586, minus the $500 = $2086. It makes this lens very expensive, rather than eye wateringly expensive.

  Last one of those lenses I saw on eBay (used but "as new" condition, though I didn't see packaging with it) went for $1,040 plus $20 shipping. I'd rather a new one and warranty for $1,217.

  Wonder if the Olympus equivalent will ever get down that far.

  The Panasonic 35-100 is $1,080 at Ryda. With cashback it'll bring it down to $780. Not a bad price at all… very tempting.
