Reverse camera for a Kenwood AA headunit

Hello fellow Automotive forum gurus,

I just purchased this Kenwood Android Auto headunit - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/606966 and currently looking for a reverse camera to go with it.

Can someone with experience please shed some light if I also need to buy a Kenwood branded camera or a generic one would do?

Any information is welcome.

Used generics in my last car and this one with kenwood. Standard rca input although they do have a special kenwood one too it's not needed.

Generic should work. I’ve had reasonable results with cheap and nasty off eBay.

  lol yea I have been looking at those. Which one do you recommend? Doesn't have to be dirt cheap btw as long as the quality is decent.

    Long time since I’ve bought one. Can’t remember exactly which one. I recall there were/are two types of cams and one is better than the other for ‘reasons’
