Back Again Hunting Some Cheap Shelving for My Greenhouse

Hey ozbargainers,

I'm trying to find some cheap shelving for my greenhouse. Max width of 100cm with a height of up to 1.4 metres. I imagine 4 levels is probably enough as id like some space for plant height. I'm hoping for a solution under $50 but will pay as much as $100. I'd even make my own if anyone knows an easy, minimal tool design. Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers!

  • Ikea

    • The Hyllis range might be suitable.

  • Bunnings? Or my preferred place, find something in hard rubbish customise/re-purpose.

Get the trusty cheapo galvanised shelf for $14.
Not quite as wide as you'd like but depending on how you're laying it out, you could put them in an L shape and potentially squeeze it in.

Bunnings have a section in the parking lot where they place used pallets for customers to take away for free, if your remotely handy, grab a few, and they when dissected would be perfect for any greenhouse. Good luck and keep all your fingers.

  • what greenhouse do you have?

one thing to do is to completely paint any metal on the shelves with rust paint - even if its powder coated if its made in china because they don't do it properly

    also consider painting any wood
