This deal won't be for everyone - but if you have primary-school age kids for example playing indoor basketball, you can pick up some current model shoes for a pretty decent price. When the kids outgrow the shoes, and if looked after, you can probably get some $ back by putting them up on FB marketplace.

There is quite a few shoes on sale -

  • Still very expensive for kids sport shoes after cashback.

    • Yeah absolutely. For normal joggers you are better off heading to a DFO.

For kids basketball shoes though - the factory outlets typically don't have much range if any. The cheaper shoes are often quite bulky/heavy or lack cushioning. If you only use the shoes indoor you can typically get a few seasons out of them (and sell or pass down). You certainly do pay a premium for the major brand names and their pro/star signature shoes. But they can generally be sold on. Nobody would realistically buy a second hand pair of kmart/target shoes.

  • pricey for kids basketball shoes.
