Belong Starter Packs

Hey folks,

A little while ago in true OzB fashion I grabbed some of the aforementioned packs at a nice price even though I didn't "need" them. Nothing special just the usual sales going around. No immediate need so put them away "in a safe place" fast forward a few months and the packs are needed and the "safe place" was not as safe as I imagined. Well, it might have been safe but stuffed if I couldn't remember at the time where it was.

Ended up grabbing some replacements to do what I needed to. Also got them cheap so no harm no foul.

Of course, no sooner had I finished doing what I needed to do than inspiration hit me and I found the "old" packs in a drawer.

Now I have a few starters kits here (and a bunch of Belong accts for various family members) and would love to apply them (or the credits within them) to various accounts.

There doesn't appear to be any obvious way to do this on the site/app (if it's even possible) haven't heard stellar things regarding Belong support so I thought I might ask folks here to see if they had any light to shed on the matter before battling in the support trenches.

Is there any way to get teh starter pack credit applied to existing accounts??

    The Starter packs can't be used on existing account.

    But data can be transferred to existing accounts.

    1. Activate sim with new number and use PayPal for the funding source
    2. Put sim in your phone so you can use it and transfer the data to your main number using the app
      2.5. Wait for billing day for the value of the starter pack to be used and transfer new data to your main number (not sure if this still works, worst case scenario on the first sim you do it on you might get charged, if you want to try it maybe change to $10/month on it so at least it doesn't charge much, but then you get less data overall than if you stuck with the $40/month)
    3. Cancel the service using the app
    4. very important step cancel payment authorisation in PayPal as they can be sneaky and ignore your cancellation request until too late. This stops them being able to take money.

    Repeat for each sim (except 2.5 if you find out it doesn't work)

      I've never had issues with belong mobile taking money unauthorised out of my credit card. If you give more then 24 hours notice as per clearly stated instructions and terms and condition there is no issue.

        Better to be safe than sorry - if there's something you can do that takes five seconds and guarantees no accidents it is worth doing

      Oh and I should have added in step 1. Use your referral code from your main number when you activate your extra sims, get extra free credit.
