Great for mixing with coke etc.

I'd only use premium, limited release coke with this…

    • lol, not sure why you got negged. This is actually quite funny. Obviously some people don't understand humour. I've given you a positive to counter the negative nancies who just dont get it.

Please don't buy blue label. You're spending more for the marketing. There are better Single malts you can get for half the price than this. No other brand (besides perhaps Suntory) should price a blend at 200 dollars and think that they can get away with it.

    • I was given a bottle a few years ago and I wouldn't rate it much better then a Glenlivet or even their Green label. I certainly wouldn't pay more then $70 for it.

Pretty much any bottle over $80 will be better.

    • any recommendations for other single malts?

      • It depends on your preferences, I'd recommend having a look at the malt map that should help you get heaps of ideas.

These can be had for circa $150 or less and mixed with the right amount of diet coke are better than Blue Label ;)
        Sherry Cask - Arberlour A'Bunadh, Glendroach 15
Port Cask - Glenmorangie Quinta Ruben
Peaty - Ardbeg Uigeadail, Laphroaig Qtr Cask
        Smoky - Lagavulin 16

with the right amount of diet coke are better than Blue Label

I do not recommend going with Diet coke mixed with a single malt. Coke zero is a much better match… Preferably a fresh vintage, late Dec 20 or younger…

      • Glendronach 12YO

      • I'd suggest for under $100 any of these are way more superior. Assuming.you're new to scotch.

Aberfeldy 12 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky
The Balvenie 12 Year Old DoubleWood Single Malt
Dalwhinnie 15 Year Old Highland Single Malt

for me, Aberfeldy punches well above its price range as a quality, well.rounded single malt for guests.

      No doubt.

But I once did go through a bottle of blue with a mate - we finished it off one afternoon and both loved it. I don't know if it was the mood or the weather or the conversation or whatnot, but this bottle was one of the most enjoyable and went down in no time. That's the only time I've had it, so it's a 100% from me.

Evidently sarcasm doesn't come across well in text, I suspect.

      • Went so far past his head he felt the need to reply…

      • How do you mean sarcasm?
i’ve witnessed it happen first hand so i know some people do it… i just don’t get why…
Thought op is one of them folks 😒

If you gonna mix it with Coke, don't waste the money on the Blue all you need is the Red.
