$35 for the King quilt is a bargain! Thanks OP, got one.

  • Cheers OP - in for a King

  • $35 for a king is great price - cheers

  • We recently bought one of these in the king (was on sale for $31 in late Feb). Works well with the recent Melbourne temperatures. It's quite light so not sure how it'll go in winter.

  • I'm happy to pay a premium price for a premium product as far as quilt is concerned.

What features would make a quilt more premium, and what can I expect to pay? This seems like a good price for a mid range quilt!

    • +2

I paid $65 for a King size ULTRA WARMTH quilt from Kmart - kept me completely warm through the last 2 Sydney winters. Highly recommend it if you can find it.

Depends on personal preference and what you consider premium. Higher price doesn't always equal superior quality… just labor to produce it.

Some of the most expensive quilts are 'goose down' filled. ie not the rough outer feathers, the softer down feathers underneath.
I personally find them too heavy, and I don't like the ethical concerns about how some of these birds suffer when these feathers are ripped from their bodies while alive (live plucking is illegal in America, but not China).

Premium means different things to different people. Doonas with feathers or down are more pricy, but I don't consider them superior. For one I hate how the sharp ends of the feather sometimes come out through the outer shell.

In terms of personal health, getting any bedding that doesn't encourage dust mites is a good way to go. In a nutshell, $35 for this deal is 'premium' imo :).

      • Really helpful. Thankyou. I think I share a similar sentiment. I might pull the trigger here

  • Thx OP.. got a King..

  • Thanks OP! Bought a King

  • can anyone recommend a good cover?

    • Depends on your budget, for mid range I get the Arlo Stonewash from Target when they do 20% off, just whatever colour fits your decor
If you want to spend a bit more go in store and check out what Adairs has

  • Got a King. Thanks OP.

Looks like a great deal .. I have to say growing up in Canada .. the concept of an All Season blanket/quilt is impossible to understand .. even some of the chilly nights vs. the muggy summer ones in Oz is this not an impossible task for a blanket (i.e. to be all seasons)?

    • +1

Aren't Canadians immune to cold temperatures down to absolute zero?

      • +1

We are nfr! But where I grew up my dad killed the fire place at bedtime and it would not kick in again till we got home the next day at 5pm; made for some bloody cold mornings!

Another oxymoron is 'all season tires' .. not such a thing where I grew up .. you swapped your tires Dec. 1st and back again on March 1st

  • OOS?

Ok, so what's everyone doing for king quilt covers? Would be keen to know if anyone has any recommendations.
A deal on a good value bamboo cotton quilt cover would be ideal :D

    • Please do let me know if you find something. I'll also be looking for something similar. Driving with plain white colour though. Boring I know. !

    • I got these Ettitude one last year and they are great:
      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/593636

      • We've got sheet sets already, but recently we started only using the fitted sheet and just having a quilt with a cover, hotel styles.
Can say I much prefer it this way, rather than multiple layers that move around and trigger me.

No Super King? What is this, a quilt for plebs?

  • Is this machine washable?

  • Devo I missed out, about to move house and a king would have been spot on.

        How to back order?

When i select king size, it does not let me add to cart?

        • Unlucky. Maybe it sold out then :(

        • It was up for a second, I hit add to cart and it was gone.

        • King size is back on for 'back order'

  • Hmm when I try to order it says the price is around $55-60 now (depending on different sellers)?

    • Looks like King size is out of stock again now. Queen size is still available for 'back order'.

    • King size is back on for 'back order'

        • King size is back for back order just now. Don't know the quantity available so good luck if you are fast enough to get them.

          • @ozbpro10: Think it's gone already :(

But Queen was available for backorder… so why not. I have a King bed I'm sure I'll find a use for it in our guest room or something!

  • +4

We received our one, wasnt sealed, was wet/sticky and had someone elses hair in it. Will be sending back for refund. For those who purchased, just make sure its not used or something.

    • Thanks for mentioning that!

  • Anyone else in the same boat as me?

I purchased the original deal on backorder. Haven't been charged. They advised they will notify me when stock becomes available.

Does that guarantee my order? I hope I didn't miss out…no idea when I should expect the quilt.

    • Not sure about this item. But from my past experience on other items, it could take a few weeks to a couple of months. However, after one month Amazon would send me a message to see if I would like to continue to wait or cancel the order.

      • Received thanks! Just received it today! (Sunday)

  • This deal is back in stock but $41, still good value.

  • Got mine the other day… still on the hunt for a good king cover

  • Back in stock and $35 ;)

  • Does anyone's come in a box or exterior packaging? Mine just delivered like that, no box, no extra packaging.

    • Came in a box

      • Thanks, I'll get a replacement. Whoever is doing the packing is a lazy a***
