That's not too shabby at all

Been a while since I looked at what Dan at Winedirect had on offer..

The Curtis and Martins are lovely and the others look good at a glance.

As always, ignore the RRP and look at what you are getting for a low $20.00 a bottle delivered.

    • Agree, looks like a box of solid wines. I'm just getting out the popcorn for the inevitable RRP war of words that breaks out every time a wine deal comes up🍿.

I wish you could pop up gifs on OzBargain, there would be a relaxed person sitting down with popcorn busting out! Very purposefully did not include RRP to avoid such discussions. Just 6 bottles that are good buying at an average of $20 per bottle :)

        • RRP is generally a load of garbage anyway, not just in wine sales. If you like the booze, drink it. If you don't, a higher RRP isn't going to change your palate.

Do you have a favourite in this bunch?

          • @TheFunkySalsa: You are spot on mate, RRP isn't a GREAT buying guide, but sometimes its all you can go off until you have tasted it. That being said, one of my favourite wines in this dozen is the Jeanneret Cab Shiraz, but the definite favourite is the Alcala Grenache. It is just so trademark McLaren Grenache. Probably the best Grenache we have stocked in recent memory. Very, very good!

Dan has never steered me wrong but I look into new stuff where possible.

Did a little on line searching - the Heirloom Shiraz is a Qantas business class serving and sold at the Qantas store fro $40.00 - the Heirloom Grenache is sold by the Qantas store at $79.00.

Apologies if I have stoked the RRP popcorn frenzy.

Bought a box to try the ones new to me.

    • Can't wait to hear which one you like the most, definitely have a crack of the Jeanneret Cab Shiraz, i can most definitely help you out with sneaky pricing on a straight dozen of that if you're interested.

      • Jeanneret has moved to the head of the list as the first to be opened.
