How many Flybuys / Woolworths rewards accounts do you have?

Curios how many FB and WR cards you have? I only have 1 and so does my partner… I've seen a few people write over the years they have one for their dog etc.. We are getting deals of $150-180/week spend, and I think there's good opportunity to get 1 or 2 more cards to balance things out… But do they look at the address or phone numbers of the people applying to flag things? Any suggestions on how to maximise these hacks? We do spend a lot on shopping for a family of 5. Thanks!

    Nice try snitch

  • Ive got 1 flybuy and 3 Woolies rewards and find that is usually enough to make use of the promotions.

Only need to get one promotion a week for our spend and those 4 are sufficient for that - not too much overlap in promotions so don't need to worry about having to decide which one to use.

    • Thanks for the response - we do both regularly get promotions, but they can both clash at high numbers.. sometimes $180 for Coles, and $150 for WW.. which can be hard to maintain that rage for several weeks..

      • Most of my offers are between $50-$100, that works for us. Anything more than that, I ignore.
When they clash, I just use the one that gives the highest percentage discount. If I'm in the middle of a buy for 4 weeks, then that one takes precedence

  • wife and I have one card for each, each.
the flybuys is one account, two different card numbers
ww are separate card numbers, separate accounts (different targeted promotions). handy having the phone app so we can use each others cards dependant on which has the best offer.
    .

    • We do the same, very handy having the card stored in a phone app for each of us to use as needed, thanks!

    I have 5

Something to keep in mind is they ask for mobile verification if you haven't logged in a few weeks, and with coles you can't redeem the points until you log in.

WW is better that way, but you need to do small shops regularly using it otherwise they stop sending you offers.

Ahh yeah, that's what I was expecting.. I think I'll look to get another FB account, we do use Coles a fair bit. It's been handy having Woolworths car insurance with the extra 10%.. I've noticed I can use the 10% off code online once per month, AND also in store.. and since we both have our cars with woolies, we can essentially get 10% off 4 times per month.

  • 1 FB and 4 WR. Bit of a hassle juggling the WR accounts. I think 2 of each is adequate.

  • Two of each - but only recently did this. To reduce the amount of spend required for points, then the woolies one was mainly to separate which card had 10% discount (woolies mobile) vs main card shared between the household.

Plenty. WW is better for offers. Occasionally they have generous top up offers (Spend 5 cents, get $10)

A few accounts have 'spend 50, get 3100' recently, which is also great value - even when you get dirty looks for paying for your groceries in 3 parts

    • Haha.. yeah the looks can be funny. I split all of my transactions and use my HSBC to get 2% Cashback when I don't have an e-gift card.. which is rare. When you say plenty of accounts, do you use the same names? and email addresses etc? or all unique?

      • Different emails, different physical address (just use Stocard to generate virtual cards) . Never pay with the same plastic as they will match your card number in the background. eGift cards are the way to go. Failing that, you're better off just buying actual physical gift cards via self check out first, then using that as the payment card.

  • I signed up a 2nd flybuys one. Since doing so, my main one rarely gets anything beyond the spend $x per week for 4 weeks offer. Pretty annoying because the new one is pretty much just getting the same, just for smaller weekly spend requirement. The spend requirement on the main one is currently set at about 2.5 times what I'd spend in a week.

    • Thanks for the info.. I figured there systems would have to know when there are multiple accounts in the same household
