I didn’t finish either so maybe that’s why, but I also didn’t get why people hate the second game so much but like the first. They seemed pretty similar to me.

People over at r/GameDeals have been receiving codes. The process is a bit slow now though due to the rising popularity.
Technically these are "Lara Croft" games; not "Tomb Raider" games.
Guardian of Light is a clunky and somewhat glitchy co-op puzzle game with a smattering of wave combat. If you progress through it steadily you'll get about 3 hours of co-op entertainment out of it.
8 hours and still waiting

Both of these are great. Co-op with a friend through them. Heaps fun.

I actually quite liked the second one. First was pretty similar gameplay wise but I never ended up finishing it.
