Knee support sleeve

Looking for some support for weak knee.
Local GP suggested specific knee sleeve:

Thermoskin Stabilising Knee Sleeve

But don't know how good is it or so.
Anyone got this one or anything similar you recommend? If not, where can find best price for these knee sleeves? Thanks.

  • Priceline has a range of new 3M Futuro sleeves for various body parts. They're not cheap but actually look pretty good, worth having a look and investing in a decent one.

    • Thanks, cannot find these on their site.
      Link?

  • +1

I have had quite a few knee sleeves and the one you pic has been the one I keep going back to. The neoprene ones are gross and sweaty, the ones with velcro straps supporting the knee become too restrictive after awhile.
If I am exercising I use kinesiology tape and the knee sleeve for extra support.

    • Cool, thanks, so you recommend Thermoskin Stabilising Knee Sleeve?

      • I cant remember the brand of the ones I have but they look the same.

  • Any reason you have weak knees?

Can you see a physio and get the problem sorted?

Also, ebay have a few ones.

    • This. Sure get a knee sleeve for some added support and comfort, but definitely work on strengthening your quads, glutes and hamstrings.

  • Without knowing a more accurate diagnosis, you’ll be buying blind. There may be a specific option which is far more accurate for your problem than a generic one, but you won’t know without proper diagnosis.

Based purely on probability, and without knowing anything about you, “weak knees” is more likely poor hip control, in which case it would be patellofemoral pain syndrome (if you want to give it a name). For this, for example, a patella-stabilising brace is your best option as far as braces are concerned - strength work is your true best option.

If it’s something else, then you might require a different option to yield good pain-relief, or it might do nothing other than placebo.
