Is There a Good Scooter Deal Going on?

Hello everyone,
Just wondering if you could please advise and post some of your thoughts on what current good deals are running with electrical scooters at the moment?
I can see that the Xiaomi 1S was on special for $399 but that deal has not expired and went up to $479 on eBay….

Is there a good buy right now, or should I wait for the next big sale?

    Yep - the cops in some states might have a "good deal" for scooter riders. It's a ticket for an unregistered vehicle that's about double the price of a scooter. 😆

      I don't believe OP asked for a lecture on the legality of scooters in different states.

        Maybe bobbified was trying to inform OP about the need to check legislation before purchasing…..

        Lots of people riding these scooters around the city just do so because they see others doing it. Some don't even know they're not legal and they can get such an expensive ticket for it.

        I've been wanting a scooter myself for so long and I've been wishing they'd make them legal sooner.

          It doesn't help when every JB Hifi in Sydney CBD has them front and center in the store with big discount stickers too. Most immediately assume it's legal, why wouldn't you if openly sold in retail shop and see others riding them around CBD.

            @Hybroid: People assume things…….

            Cops write tickets, to let those people know their assumptions were wrong…….

            Rinse and repeat.

          • @Hybroid: Plenty of things you can buy that are illegal to use in certain places. Electric scooters are 100% legal to use on private land.

          Stop being such a (profanity) and just get one.

      Not sure why you are so concerned about what other people want to spend their money on, suspect you want to buy one but are too worried about “breaking the law”

      I have been riding mine around Melbourne for the past 2 years and the only time a police officer showed any interest was to ask how much it cost.

      They have had a crackdown on Southbank recently but this is related to speed limit, not escooter specific and targeted bikes, skateboards etc. That area is limited to 10km/h.

      From my experience the police don’t care about theses, however if one day i get I fine then I will pay it.
