New phone advice

My note8 is on its last legs (battery mainly) and am not really sure what to get next. My budget is upto $1000. I am not a gamer, just general use, youtube etc, shd be 5g and android. I have the option to buy from China too if required.

Xiaomi 11 - too new but i do like the specs
Xiaomi mi 10t pro - like it but heard battery drains after android 11 update.
S21's - want to try something other than samsung as i have had 4 in a row.
I dont mind any make but need it to last 2-3 years and shd have a decent sized screen with a good battery.

Any suggestions will be appreciated, thanks

Save your money, just replace the battery.

    • Thanks, i have already replaced the battery 6 months ago and can only get around 6 hours (partial standby and partial browsing) before i need to charge it. Pen is lost too :-(.

Since you are not a gamer, Pixel 4a 5g (when on sale about $600)

    • Any reason why 4a and not the 5?

I have a budget of $100 per month and i'm looking for a new phone as well.

      • 4a is a fantastic phone (especially for non-gamers) and not everyone needs the specs of a Pixel 5 just to perform day-to-day tasks.
However if you plan to do a lot of mobile gaming the Pixel 5 is a better phone.
