Great price for HOM 3 Complete Edition.

          Oh I see. My bad.

          I thought this was the HD remaster, which does not include the expansions.

            @lostn: No worries. I reckon in terms of gameplay for your dollar this is one of the best gaming deals of the year as it has the expansions.
            HLTB states the time for a completionist is 239.5 hours and main story is 141.5 hours - it will keep you busy over the Easter break! ;-)

              @Lysander: The problem with the classic H3 is that it runs at 800x600 which is tiny on modern displays. You can blow it up to full screen but it will look pixellated.

              The remaster made it playable at modernish resolutions but they didn't bother porting the expansions to it for some reason, which shouldn't have taken much effort since the expansions use the same art assets of the original with a handful of new units.

                @lostn: Hm, I see. That is a shame indeed.
                I guess it is good for me then that most PCs around the house and in my parents' house are quite old and have older, smaller displays so I can play those older games without issues.
                But apart from that, I am happy to play games in a window if they are too old for modern displays (such as Maniac Mansion which is still one of my favourite point n click games to this day.)

      H4 was the black sheep of the series, though I loved the graphics and music.

      Then Ubisoft took over and some of the magic was lost, though it's hard to pinpoint exactly what it was about Ubi's games that didn't capture the magic for me. They weren't bad games or anything. Maybe I just outgrew HOMM?

      I remember H6 being ultra difficult.

    Played some last night and got cleaned up pretty quickly. Lol

    Also, I don't feel like I need to HD mod it.. The graphics still hold up!
