Phone Opinions and Ship-from Locations at GeekBuying?

Hi all,

I just had my previous order of 2 Poco X3 from Aliexpress refunded after weeks of seller non-communication/support. Won't be going back.

I'm on the look-out for mobile phones for my daughter and a friend. Friend is older and really likes my Mi Max 2, and doesn't require huge storage/RAM.

Daughter uses hers a bit more, so looking at 128/6GB. She likes a good camera. Both would like good battery life. NFC is not a priority. Daughter is using Boost, friend is iinet, but happy to switch to Boost (bad reception at her home w/iinet).

These are what caught my eye thus far. Comments on them or possible better choices in the sub $200/300-ish range appreciated.

Also, any bad experiences shipped from HK?

No Poco X3 instock at GeekBuying but I can usually get discounts/free priority shipping on other phones from CN/HK.

  What can you get w/specs as noted that will ship within a couple of weeks, not months? I like Xiaomi, but open to any solid phone which is well-known enough to get ebay covers.

      I wasn't anticipating a really old phone so I wouldn't be able to discount. Typically GeekBuying would discount something that others would likely buy too.
      
      There's a lot of better ~$200 AU phones shared on OzBargain.
