Change Garage Remote Battery or Buy New One?

Does anyone knows how to change the battery of this garage remote?

I can slide the top compartment out:

But couldn't open the whole thing to replace the battery.

Is the white thing the chip? Can I just buy a new remote and slide it in? Or do I have to contact the strata for a new key?

Thanks.

Or do I have to contact the strata for a new key?

They ask that, you check with OzBargain first?

Sorry, it's time to buy a whole new garage door

    • I think this job will actually require a whole new garage

      • I prefer to create a new universe when my remote battery goes flat

There are two batteries to change, that thing sliding out is an NFC chip. Sure there aren't any screws you've missed to open the casing?

email this mob and ask them how to change the battery: http://www.dfmsecurity.com/download-and-support/ - they call it a RTW19

I have a two button remote that is similar and issued by the BC. There is a small screw on the back near the the key ring end. When you remove that then you can slide the chrome sides away from the black plastic. After that I can't remember and I can't find my small screw driver ATM. Take photos so you know how it goes back together.

    • omg thank youuuu soooo much. It got stuck but it does slide off. Thank you!!!
