LIFX Smart LED Strip VS WIZ Smart LED Strip

Hi

Just wondering if anyone has any experience with either of these 2 smart LED strips.

They both seem to be very bright. But i wanted to know if the warm and cool white of the whites look actually crisp white rather than it having a blue/purple tinge

Thanks in advance

If you're just after white, check out the Xiaomi Yeelight "Willow" Lightstrip, YLDD03YL.
    eg https://www.aliexpress.com/item/33048560133.html
It has both cool and warm white LEDs and both Colour and brightness are tunable with app or Bluetooth remote (first video below demonstrates this nicely).
    I have 30m and 5m versions.
The 30m is the sole source of illumination for my back deck, it doesn't make it daylight out there, but it's very comfortable to eat a meal, read or play a board game by.
There is no obvious voltage drop across the 30m either. The LED's at the very end of the strip appear at least very close in brightness to those at the start of the strip.

      ooo wow thanks for that

they look good, the only problem is that i need them in a week and i dont think i will receive it on time if i bought it from aliexpress. :(

so my options are quite limited :(

      • Yeah, that's going to be a problem.
The obvious thing to do is go grab a WiZ kit today and if it's not good enough, buy the LIFX and reply on Bunnings' return policy to return the WiZ kit.
The LIFX is highly regarded, but it's also expensive as a result.

        • Thanks i might have to go do that

Philips hue 5m outdoor white n colour is currently on sale at Bunnings. No longer on website though.

    Was 5m for $200 down to $129.

  • LifX is the gold standard at the moment, even better than the Hue. Doesn't hurt that they're Australian too.
