These are not made with whole wheat flour, but rather plain flour (called maida). I would rather go with the Maggi made from whole wheat

Most noodles are made from plain flour aren't they?

    • +5

Even the whole wheat maggi has just 10% whole wheat content, the rest is still plain flour.

People who have negged have no clear idea of the product I'm referring to. The original Maggi whole wheat is this https://www.amazon.in/Maggi-Nutri-Licious-Atta-Noodles-Masal…

        • +3

This has 85.3 percent whole wheat as supposed to the whole wheat version of Maggi which is sold/made in Australia

        • Don't think this is sold in the supermarket. Maybe only in Indian grocery stores.

          • -1

@RSmith: It's only available in Indian grocery stores.

            • @mynameisborat: No i have seen in Woolworths some stores only and they are often out of stock of it. But occasionally they do have it

          Genuine Indian detected lol

Not a just a random using a vpn to get cheap software deals

        • Maggi original is way better tasting and texture than the atta noodles. You should only have it as an occasional treat, so the very marginal "healthy" factor should not matter.

  • Nice, Thanks op

  • +28

awesome .. now have to buy them before the neighboring Indian store buys them

  • Any recommendations for Gluten free noodles?

  • Does anywhere in Brisbane sell these? I have never seen them

    • Every single Indian grocery store should have it, if not Woolies or Coles. It's a must try. You may also want to try Maggi Ketchup that you will find in the same stores.

  • ass on fire

    Are these individually packed inside?

    • +1

      no, they aren't

      • Thanks for the info, how about the seasoning packets? Does it come in just one gigantic packet as well?

        • +6

no, they are individual packs.. one for each block of noodles.
          a bachelor's staple food in india :)
must give it a try.. only if you can find stock at this price..
else, visit any indian grocery store
          enjoy!

  • looks tempting.. where can i buy in wa coles?

    • +1

International aisle, Indian section. Not all Coles have them but most big ones do.

  • +1

Best way to make it a meal? Bit of chicken, Broc, capsicum?

    • yup will be nice. whateva you want really. its got a nice curry flavour.

    • +1

I generally add frozen veggies (carrots + corn + peas or carrots + beans + broccoli) along with stuff that Nonnu mentioned above

  • +2

Flavour is fantastic, but not a fan of the texture of these noodles.

  • Sure it is a bargain but it'll cost ya

    • Only $2.50

      • -1

Maybe if you only value your butthole at $2.50?

        • +4

Not supposed to be eaten from it. Not sure what's wrong with people.

  • +1

This is great, but if you can get your hands on the Fijian made version, it tastes even better, IMO

  • Tried that last time. Very spicy flavoured noodles. Love the taste over the normal Maggi. Be prepared for burning sensation morning after.

    • +2

That is where you restrict how much masala you want to add. I add half.

      • My butthole is used to this. I go double or nothing.

  • +1

Maggi launched a new oats version of the masala noodles and they are suprisingly good!

  • +2

Tried these for the first time because of this post. Love it!
