I'm happy with my Bosch Series 6. Picked it up for <$1000 a few years ago. Made in Germany and hasn;t missed a beat.
Depending on how desperate you are for the black aesthetic, i have a 4 year old euromaid DR14S, bought for $399 and cleans better than my previous $1500 Akso (which broke after 4 years). Would have one break every 4 years and happily buy it again.

Anytime Euromaid, I had Ariston came with house, replaced with F&P replaced and now Euromaid and cant complained i had Stainless Steel finished and paid about $ 600 for black you can choose this model EUROMAID - EDWB16G. Unbelivable silent, operates without any fuss, i have installed base model in all my investment properties and even at my work i have base model and till date at all places this machines works brilliant, cant complaint.
When i was replacing my F&P at home i had two option either to go for German and Swedish brand and shell out more then $ 2500 or go for basic good hard working DW for $ 500. My wife agreed with my logic and she still has not given me any complains about machine since last 3 years i have replaced my machine.
I got mine from the Miele clearance centre and am very happy.

I went to the Brisbane one, got a good price with full warranty for a unit which had a cosmetic scratch on the side (not visible when installed).
