Just got an iMac Air m1 but have trouble plugging in my Sandisk usb c flash drive. The connector looks the same but it won't fit. Anyone have the same problem. Its so weird.

What do you mean it won't fit? If both are USB-C then should do. Might help to share some pics.

    • It fits but is really hard to plug in. Its a sandisk dual usb c flash drive. I gave up as i feel that the port is going to break.

      • Oh, so it does fit and work. Yea, normal for Macs to be tight fit.

        • The charging cable does plug in without a problem tho without any excessive force

          • @love2buy: Apple's manufacturing quality tolerances is unrivalled. Not surprising. Port will loosen over time.

  • MacBook ports are a very firm fit. It does require a bit of force.

Source: family member had same issue with new M1 Air

    • They do loosen up over time, which is also bad.
My charging cable keeps wriggling itself loose in the port during normal use (3 yo macbook pro).

  • What is an "iMac Air m1" anyway?

Do you mean a Macbook Air?

    • Sorry that's what i meant
