Normally $12, this product isn't half price often!

For those looking for a new cat litter, can't recommend this brand enough - clumping, flushable, captures odour well and is relatively contained (compared to other flushable litters that go EVERYWHERE)

At last - a good use for tofu

    • My cat disagrees… not worth her shit.

    • Tofu is great for eating. I didn't like it for years until a Japanese friend made it for me.
      Marinate it first

      • +2

I tend to clean the litter box as soon as possible, much less eat the marinated tofu. Each to their own.

Don't care what they say, I'd never flush cat litter.

    • Why's that?

      • +3

Because there's no good reason to do so.

        • What if you live in an apartment? Just throw it off the balcony? >_<

    • R u the real Broden?

      • Yes

Been flushing down various flushable cat litter including this one for years, never got any problem. Have faith in your toilet!

      • Some parasites that live in cat poo cannot be killed by water treatment centres

        • Cats should be dewormed in the first place

  • how does this compare to oko or world's best cat litter?

    • I usually mix this one with world's best. Odour control is mediocre, and using up pretty quickly

It's also $6 at Coles as well.

  • Thanks OP, if my cats don't like it I can always use it in the garage to clean up oil spills

IMO flushable tofu cat litter doesn't have much difference among brands. For budget alternative, reject shop has 2kg for $5 all the time

    • I use this too, works good

  • jus use newspaper

      jus use newspaper

That's an interesting fact. Obviously they don't use it on the Sabbath…

  • Excellent kitty litter, wish I could afford to use it all the time.

Really hated the smell of this unfortunately; it smells kind of like a somewhat dirty mouse enclosure imo. If you can tolerate the smell or have a bigger room to put it in then it's fine, didn't really work well in my small apartment bathroom where it was impossible to escape.

  • Can this used as rabbit litter ?

  • I use this in addition to a double cat litter box and it's great. Smells nice and can be spread over your lawn to dispose of.

    The double cat litter tray

    https://www.budgetpetproducts.com.au/new/product/kitter-cat-…

The double tray means a lot less cat litter goes to waste because anything wet will break up and fall through, keeping the top level litter dry and intact.

    • I find that this brand is not as odour proof as the ozpet brand of pellets. It's also harder on their paws and they don't like it as much.

      • I have used Catmate and Ozpat, both wood pellets. I find Catmate pellets is softer on paws, cheaper, and hides odours better compare to OZpat ones. But the pellets themselves has a woody smell which I do not like.
Both brands work better with the $15 Kmart litter tray than the branded tray as the Kmart one got larger holes for sifting.

I have also tried out a paper one which my cat liked but I hated. I can never scoop out all the wet litter and the they accumulate and make my whole room smell like ammonia.

Keen to try this Tofu one.
