Help Please Best Way to Import USA to Australia Lithium Battery and Skin Ridgid AEG Tool Kits

Looking at purchasing a 18v Ridgid tool pack but read I may have issues getting the batteries into Australia via air freight.

Besides sea freight, is there a economical option to import the combo kits that have the skins with the battery included in the kit?
Who have you used and or recommend regarding shipping forwarders etc?

Thanks in advance

  • I’m pretty sure only certain couriers can ship batteries. DHL is one of them I believe.

Remember you will need to likely buy a step up transformer as the charger will be 110v and you will have no warranty in Australia (unless you have verified that this is world wide).

What exactly are your trying to buy? Can you go via amazon? Is there no other deal at Bunnings etc that would be just as good?

  • I already have a Australian charger for these batteries thanks
I was looking at getting this
    https://www.homedepot.com/p/RIDGID-18-Volt-Lithium-Ion-Brush…

I tried DHL but they said the wont send it unless the batteries are built into the unit.
Also the shipping rate was very high

  • Try this pack, comes from Amazon.com & ships to OZ ….not exactly the same as what you were after but looks like it comes with batteries

  • I'm fairly sure Rigid tools are the exact same as AEG tools in aus. So you may be able to buy AEG batteries in aus seperately.

  • USA doesn't have surface mail anymore. So by sea won't be an option.

  • I've shipped batteries and tools from us to Aus via Amazon with no problem.

  • Thanks but the deal i put up is much cheaper for what you get so thats the only reason im interested in the batteries otherwise I would just get the tools
